Warm greetings from the NUS Physics Department! Wish you a very happy new year of Horse! Thank you very much for your kind support during the past years. We’re excited to announce the NUS Physics Engagement Camp on June 4th, 2026, tailored for upper secondary students.
Themed “Let’s See Real Physics,” the camp aims to show students the fun, depth, and relevance of physics in everyday life as well as to tomorrow’s economy and technologies. Indeed, with the launch of National Space Agency of Singapore in Apr 2026 and Singapore’s building up of capabilities to seriously study the potential deployment of nuclear energy, our physics engagement camp is even more meaningful for secondary students.
We humbly ask for your help in sharing this announcement and the attached poster with your students. Event highlights include:
- Professors discussing Physics in Everyday Life in a student-friendly manner
- Hands-on Activity sessions on Physics topics
Registration fee: $20 (inclusive of GST). Registration closes on April 15th, 2026, or upon reaching 300 sign-ups, whichever comes first. Students can register individually by scanning the QR code in the poster. There are two modes of payment: (i) If the school is making the payment, we require the name and email ID of the teacher in charge for invoicing purposes; (ii) students can pay individually.
Program details will be shared with registered participants and the school teacher in charge closer to the event day. We’re confident this event will benefit students interested in STEM careers and provide valuable insights into Physics at NUS.
