Consider a ray of light shining onto a flat (plane) mirror as shown:

 

The Two Laws of Reflection
The incident ray, the reflected ray, and the normal at the point of incidence all lie on the same plane.
The angle of incidence, i, is equal to the angle of reflection, r (i= r).

     Note: “reflected angle” is not an accepted term
